The Charlevoix Palissades is a mountain adventure park located in the Charlevoix region of Quebec. More specifically, it is situated in Saint-Siméon region, north of La Malbaie.
It is not very difficult to hike to the top, and along the trail you will find some areas dedicated for climbers. It is also worth mentioning the magical forest, filled with movie-like mosses and small lakes.
The park also has its own Via Ferrata as well as other types of activities, making it a common hub for all adventure seekers.
The best times to hike this mountain are from June through October and the full trail consists of a 9 Km Loop.
The mountain is filled with rich history and extraordinary discoveries, such as the 900 Million Years old Rock where you can find a hidden route that leads you to climb from the other side.
Be sure take your time crossing the bridge when you reach the waterfall. It offers an uncommon view of both the top and the bottom.
