Mont des Éboulements is a mountain located in the eastern part of Charlevoix region, Quebec. It is also part of the Canadian Appalachians, which is a mountain range spreading across the eastern and northern-eastern America.
The mountain’s two opposite trails are the Paysan leading to the west, and Louis-Charles Audet leading to the east.
The Paysan hiking trail, which is the one that we took, is one of the hidden gems in the province and it is considered to be easy.
It follows a forest path and leads to a panoramic view at the top, featuring a wide view of the different mountain peaks in Charlevoix as well as, Saint Lawrence River
The mountain is also known for its summer vibes, even during the cold season, as well as structural and environmental diversities.
The best times to hike this mountain are from June through October, though it is said to be one of the most common places to go to for Back-Country Skiing during Winter.
During Summer and beginning of Autumn, the path is filled with Green Moss and many sections are colored by the leaves. The field also has a spectacular view of the mountain landscape from the bottom of the trail.
The full trail includes a 9 Km back and forth hike, starting from a cultivated farmland and passing through the wooded surroundings.
